I have encountered a problem using the FLOAD Command in Staad/Pro 2000.
If the Fload command is used using the YRANGE parameter only, the distribution of loads throughout the floor in question appears to be calculated correctly. However, if one uses the Fload Command to apply an overall floor load using a series of loaded areas on the one floor using the XRANGE and ZRANGE parameters, your reaction results appear to be a multiple of the loaded areas used.
If one applies an overall floor load using a total of 3 loaded areas, the reaction results appear to be multiplied by 3.
Has anyone come across this problem??
Are there any solutions or explanations from Research Engineers?

Regards

Mike

I am not sure but I think this is just another of the errors in hadling loads generated in STAAD.
I have a simialr problem with the generation of wind load on a previous post!
