Anyone have experience using Copper-Nickel-Tin alloy per AMS 4596 or AMS 4597 in-lieu-of [ILO] Copper-Beryllium alloy per AMS 4535 (TF00) Tubing AMS 4533 (TF00) Bar and Rod AMS 4534 (TH04) Bar and Rod for grease-lubricated plain bearings [highly loaded, very low-speed rotation], such as for landing gear joint applications? SAE AIR 1594C indicates that Cu-Ni-Sn be a viable option to replace CuBe alloys... but that it is so new as to be relatively "un-tried".
