Uplift holdown load on PT slab interior 1

Hey Guys,

If I have an uplift load on a PT slab on grade that exceeds the weight of the immediate area of the slab, how would you recommend dealing with this? A footing below the pt slab? I have a 700 lb allowable load and don't think I can justify the slab weight resisting it.

How thick is your PT slab?

Is the holdown load at a perimeter or interior condition?

It doesn't take much concrete to add up to 700 lbs

@KootK it's 10.5" and at an interior condition. I'm thinking it basically grabs 12" or so in every direction(about a 45 degree angle). which would be 4 sq. ft which is 600 lbs ultimate. The 700 lbs is an allowable load to be clear. Let me know if you think any of my assumptions are overly conservative.

Waaaay over conservative. Throw a little two way top steel in at the hold down and you should have no problem mobilizing, say, a 10' square area of concrete.
