Hello,

I've "unzipped" some nodes along a line that connected two surfaces and now I have the following error message. Does anyone knows what this means? Btw grid point 23 is one of the nodes created after "unzipping".

Thank you,
W

User information:
The element specified points to a non-existent grid or scalar point.
This message may occur in superelement analysis when the reference

do you mean you created a 2nd set of nodes, copying inplace original nodes (so they are coincident) and changed the element node list for one side of the "crack".

can you see node 23 in the grid echo of the input (in the f06 file) ?

"do you mean you created a 2nd set of nodes, copying inplace original nodes (so they are coincident) and changed the element node list for one side of the "crack"?"

YES

"can you see node 23 in the grid echo of the input (in the f06 file) ?"

I don't think so. I don't know what the grid echo of the input is, but when I search for "23" in the f06 file, it only comes up under the error message listed above.

Another detail I forgot to mention. The error message comes up for each element containing one of the new set of nodes created by this operation.

did you ask to echo the inut (in the exec deck) ?

model/analysis/edit, step through the pages/screens, there'll be one that mentions echoing the input deck

I changed "Echo Model = NONE" to "Echo Model = ALL" and now I get the following message:

USER FATAL MESSAGE 629 (IFP1D)
ECHO CARD HAS REPEATED OR UNRECOGNIZABLE SPECIFICATION DATA. REPEATED SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE IGNORED.
UNRECOGNIZABLE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE TREATED AS SORT.

my version (10.3.0) has an empty dialogue box under "echo model" on the "nastran output requests" screen ... no dropdown arrow like the other boxes ???

mine too, it said "NONE" by default so I figured I'd change it to "ALL", is that ok?

don't know ... check the manual or the helpdesk
(mine is blank by default)

This error is due to Node not include in ur analysis group.

include the node, error solves...
