Was the model created as an NX Sheet Metal model or is it freeform?

If it's a Sheet Metal model there are unfolding routines included with the NX Sheet Metal functions to do that directly.

However, if it's not a Sheet Metal model, depending on the shape, there a couple of differen approaches that you might be able to use. To start with, you said 'unroll'. This implies that it might cylindrical or conical in nature. If so, you can use the Wrap/Unwrap Curve function for that.

However, if it's a freeform shape then the only real option we have is the Metaform tools which are part of the Advanced Sheet Metal product.
