Units/precision out to lunch 1

Can only one tell me why when I draw a rectangle and type in the dimensions (eg 24x1) the result will be something like 23.897x1.116 ?
I set units to max precision just to check but ..... Program is useless with such lousy tolerances

Something like that happens in AutCAD if you have a running osnap set to 'near'.

I think it happens in Draftsight, too.
Turn off all your running osnaps (or whatever DS calls them), and just add the ones you need as you need them.
