Hello, I can't remember how to insert a picture here but not to worry.

Hopefully a simple question, does anyone know why when you unite WAVE linked bodies from child component(s), they retain their original colours and don't follow the "normal" unite rule of obtaining the target object colour? And is it possible to change this?

Thanks in advance, Carl

Have you checked...

Preferences -> Modeling...

What are the 'Display Properties for New Geometry' options set to?

Excellent,

I've changed the Display Properties for Linked Geometry to "Part Default", and now all linked bodies come in with the default parent part colour.

And then they obey the normal unite rules.

Thanks very much, Carl
