Is there any way I can use the subtract function with a multi profile extrude with another feature with multi profiles in its sketch? I have been a catia V5 user and recently switching to UG. I am trying to see if I can do this operation in one step instead of doing it in several steps.

so are these all solid bodies that you are working with, or sheet bodies (aka surfaces), or both ?

It is solid. Since the sketches have two different profiles , UG is not letting me to do it in one shot ( extrude with the subtract option) .I was wondering if there is a way to do it in one operation. Thanks for your response. [pre][/pre]

What version of NX are you running?

Even though you can extrude a multi-loop sketch and the result is a single 'Feature', Boolean operations can only be applied to Bodies. And since you can only have a SINGLE 'Target' body for each Boolean operation, in your scenario you will need to perform multiple Boolean operations.
