Underwater Accelerometers

Does anyone have experience with using underwater accelerometers on vertical pumps? Is the data noisy? Were you able to diagnose any machinery problems from the data?

Customers of ours have used our waterproof accels with integral cables underwater on vertical turbines and other applications. We do not test for any specific depth, but deepest that I recall our CMCP1100 being used was 60 meters.
