Hi,

I am unable to show (import items) cosmetic thread of a part in assembly drawing when it is used more than once. The assembly drawing can only show the cosmetic thread of the very first instance of the part. It does not show the cosmetic thread of the same part on any additional instances.

Did you guy see the same problem?

Thanks,

Alex

Try this, in your drawing go to Insert, Model Items. When that comes up pick "Entire Model" under the Source box, then under the Dimensions box click off the "Marked for drawing". Under the Annotations Box click on the "Cosmetic Thread". Then click the check mark. That should bring in all the cosmetic threads from the assembly. I'm not sure why, but this has been like this for several releases.

Hi, mncad:

Thanks for your reply!

I followed your method, but my assembly drawing still only shows cosmetic thread on the first intance of the part, not on any other intances of the part.

By the way, I do not see "Marked for draing" option under Dimensions box.

Thanks again!

Alex

RMB the Cosmetic thread in the part and make sure the marked for Drawing is set there.

This issue was addressed by SPR 303692 "High Quality cosmetic thread is only shown on one instance in assembly drawing." and was fixed in SP4. Can you update?

[cheers]

Hi,

That explains my issue with cosmetic thread in assembly drawing. I am not sure if I can update SW to sp4 as all seats in my company will have to update. But it is good to know that it is a known issue.

By the way, is there such a thing as "Low Quality cosmetic thread" since you mentioned "High Quality cosmetic thread"?

Is there a way to work around in sp1.1?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi, SBaugh:

There is no "Mark for drawing" option for Cosmetic thread in the part with my SW2007 sp1.1?

Thanks,

Alex
