ultrasonic ndt on 316 L pipe

Is it possible to ultrasonic test 3" sch 80 pipe of material 316 L -S .

Yes it is, your calibration block should be of the same material.

3" is quite small for normal UT. Haven't a schedule list but I know its low wall thickness also.

Spec we use wont allow UT on anything less than 5" OD or 10mm WT.
