Ultrasonic flow meter calibration 1

Hi,
I am installing ultrasonic’s flow meters made by GE, I would like them to be caibrated before installation,
Any help with the calibration procedure please.

You have not mentioned what is ur application. Whether its liquid/gas? You should mention details about ur application before you can get a satisfactory reply.

Whether u are buying inline or clamp on type USM from GE? Requirement of calibration would depend on lot many factors.

You are basically correct, but the only thing that sets off us old guys faster than missing information is text speak. "ur" for (I suppose) "you are" or "you're" is especially off putting.

Is there reason to doubt the factory calibration? If there is it suggests some conditions we ought to know about before we can offer advice.

No details on the fluid that you are attempting to monitor.

There are firms that calibrate flow meters. The firms pick up the meters, take them to test facilities, and certify the performance.

Calibration procedure for flowmeter:

1) Locate 3rd party to calibrate flowmeter
2) Give them all your process information
3) Ship flowmeter to them
4) Wait for it to return
5) Review calibration certificate
6) Install calibrated flowmeter

It is a tried and true method.
