I want to use two tools ie. one for roughing and another for finishing in the same operation like volume machining using window. How do I do it?

Hi Sudhish,

It is always one tool per sequence. But, you can have as many sequences as you need in an operation.

So, you can have a roughing volume sequenceusing tool1, then a finishing volume sequence (with the same reference)using tool2.

A very quick way to get this is to make the roughing sequence, then copy it, and change the tool and parameters as needed to get the finishing toolpath.

Good luck.

Hi
This link is from Pro Engineer website. It has a tutorial that explains machiningdoneusing same window. Although ituses two operations (as Charles said already) using surface mill.

More specifically about milling (below)

Although this is not exactly what you asked for...I thought it might help.
