I am looking for a two-way shaft mounted ratchet device for a manually driven machine. There does not appear to be an off the shelf product that meets this criteria. However I have seen on a low cost winch, a pivoted sprung component that meshes with one of the gear wheels to cause a two-way ratchet action.
Two questions 1) are there any off the shelf two way shaft mounted ratchets with a European distributor (expected loading 6Nm or greater) and/or 2) is there a publicly available standard design for the winch ratchet described above that will save me the effort of designing from basics.
