Turning off smart menus 2

Can I turn off smart menus in SolidWorks? Not just from the menu bar, but also in the right click short cut menus?

To specify whether the context toolbar for a shortcut menu is displayed:

Open a part, assembly, or drawing document.

Click Tools, Customize, or right-click in the window border and select Customize.

On the Toolbars tab, under Context toolbar settings, select or clear:

Show on selection. The context toolbar appears when a feature is selected in the graphics area or FeatureManager.

Show in shortcut menu. The context toolbar appears when you right-click a feature.

When both options are selected (the default), the context toolbar always appears.

When neither option is selected, all commands appear on the right-click menu and no toolbar displays.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually looking to turn off the little down arrows at the bottom of the menus, that when clicked, expand the menu to show all items. Your response led me to the options tab in customize. There I just needed to click "show all" under shortcut and menu customization.

We recently moved to new servers, and wound up reinstalling SW and other software where there were glitches. I lost a number of customizations which didn't carry over with the settings wizard file I'd made.

Save yourself from lost settings and start using the Copy Settings Wizard

I hate having this command as deep as it's placed in the Start menu So I usually put it with the rest of the tools I normally use under the SolidWorks 2YYY folder

Start > All Programs > SolidWorks 2YYY > SolidWorks 2YYY SP#.# > SolidWorks Tools > Copy Settings Wizard

It's recommended to Save your system options as one file and your Shortcut and menu customizations in a separate one. If you happen to use someone elses computer at the same company you can load your shortcut and icon layouts use SolidWorks and restore their settings if you want to be courteous.

The files can be saved as .sldreg SolidWorks registry settings which when double clicked launch the Restore Settings option of the Copy Wizard or it can be renamed .reg to double click and immediately write settings to the registry.
