Thanks, Ron. I have the book but it is in Toronto storage. The first edition is amazing. So many things that were "known" in the book in 1951 edition (which I have and scanned) subsequently has bit more than one engineer in the arse . . .

I have the book and can copy anything and send, but advise as to what general subject the figure is under.

There is a series of figures for slip circle analysis results for differing cut clay slope angles and with differing depths to hard strata below. These are for cuts, not fill as I interpret it.

Oldest guy - I am going from memory - but I thought there was a figure of embankments on clay - about 1/2 way through the book. Had something about height of embankment to cause first yielding (3.14xSu) - but maybe I'm imagining what I saw. I will be giving a presentation to the clients civil engineers over here in Indonesia on embankments (part of a series I am doing) and thought this might fit in. Many thanks for looking (and hope you find it).

I've looked through Chapter 7 and picked up on the same figures that oldestguy posted. There's one other that might be what you're thinking of...I'll scan and post it. Didn't find anything in the text or notations as you described....any additional info you can think of would help narrow it.
