Dear All,
I have modelled a truss using MBMA Code. I have done it in ETABS . Main load is dead and wind load. the model is attached. please check it for me as I am not satisfied with the deformed shape..

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

You have multiple releases assigned and you are creating a mechanism (an unstable structure).

Only the ends of the member should be released. You have multiple stories in the model and you are creating many internal hinges.

You can choose to keep the top and bottom chords as continuous members (which is what will happen in reality) or choose to model them as pins. I have modeled them as pins.

See attached model.

many thanks..
The reason I did it in that way is to draw a truss in elevation by defining no of stories and grid in any one direction..

I'll check it
