Hi,
I've some read only parts in the assembly that have colored faces and when I add 'object specific material', the material color doesn't change ?
Exist an option that material true shading added overrite the part color ?
If not, solutions or idea ?
This is a little example, but I've to set a big assembly with true shading material.

Thank you...

Using NX 8 and TC9.1

OK, the trick with this particular function is that you have to select your body(s) BEFORE you select the 'Object Specific Material' from the 'True Shading Editor' dialog and then you have to select either 'Apply' or 'OK' to make the change permanent. If you read the Que/Status line it does imply that you need to select the bodies before you proceed. Also note that if you've loaded your assembly with Lightweight Representations as opposed to Exact, you may need to go to...

View -> Operation -> Regenerate Work

...before you see a properly rendered display.

Thank you John,
works well but I will add an ER to support Lightweight Representations as most rendering suite or mid-range CAD like SolidWorks.

Thank you...
