Hi,
I posted last week about excessively long run times when modeling the impact of a small particle onto a rigid substrate ( Since then I have realized that the particle was traveling through the rigid substrate with no contact. I have adjusted the contact definitions in many ways with no luck.
I have limited the duration of the simulation to 1 microsecond so that it will not run infinitely, and in every case the particle ends up below the substrate with no deformation. I cannot figure out why it is not impacting the substrate and deforming.
Any help or tips that may point me in the right direction would be appreciated! Thanks!
Luke
