I'm an austrian engineer who's looking for some NEW and ACTUAL information concerning dualphase and trip steel grades respectively.
I look for any information at this topics, as production parameters, usage in the automobile industrie, further
development in the future, easily said: ANY infos related
to this steel grades!

Thanks for help,

WoKu

I saw a little tiny bit of Dual-phase steel sheet last year in the secondary industry. here's what I've got....

Chemistry: Mechanical:
C: 0.1167 Yeild: 57.2ksi
Si: 0.247 UTS: 104.5ksi
Mn: 1.724 E-long: 20.64%
P: 0.019 N-Value: 0.162
S: 0.001 R-Value: 0.838
Cr: 0.338 Y.P.E.: 0.965%
Mo:<0.001 HRB: 90.0
Ni: 0.018 Width: 0.504"
Al: 0.397 Thick: 0.0770"
Cu: 0.004 Length: 2.000"
Nb: 0.009
Ti: 0.0062
V: 0.055
Sn: 0.006
B: 0.0001
Fe:97.417

The above are results from a good A2LA lab.

As far as I know the microstructure is a soft and tough ferrite w/ small martinsite "chunks" spread thorough it.
It's good steel that hardens well when hit w/ a stamping die. That allows for less material to be used and parts that are stronger and lighter. Part of the ultra light steel vehicle project I think.

Well thats what I know....
(or guess)
