I have offered a gate valve with Trim 12 in place of Trim 10. My client is informing that he cannot accept trim 12 as API600 alternative trim table does not specify the use of trim 12 in place of trim 10. I know that trim 12 is a hardfaced of trim 10 & is a better solution. Please advise how can I convince my client.

Your client might be right, and might be wrong. Whether Trim 10 on the API Trim Chart is a better solution than Trim 12 all depends on the process conditions. Please share details.
