Hi,
Could any of you guys give me more explanation about the subparagraph under. I would like be sure if that refer to trepannation of the Weld.

API 1104
8.2 Methods of Inspection
Trepanning methods of testing shall not be used

In 1104, it means cutting a hole in the pipeline and inserting the radiographic guide tube into the pipe and making a panoramic exposure. It is usually then plugged with a threaded Gamma Plug and seal welded. This is not allowed by API-1104.
