Anybody running Trend Micro and SW 2009 SP 4.0. We moved an x86 system that is having security issues and IT's current stance on the issue is "It's SW's problem, you're screwed, enjoy life." Anybody seen any issues like these, since we're on our own.

To answer my own question:

After installing SW 2009 SP 4.0 Trend saw the solidworks lookup function in the open file dialog as a viral action that was trying to harm the system. The simple solution is to convince IT to allow SW as an exception to Trend micro and have IT report the scenario to Trend and affiliates.

We recently switched from Trend to Symantic, but we had been running Trend OfficeScan (not Micro) and SW (from 2004 SP0 up to 2008 SP5.0) together for 5 years with no issues.

Now that you have switched to Symantec ... the freedom from issues will likely change.

LOL No issues ... yet. But I'm expecting them.
