Hi,
I have been having a problem using trajpar equations lately. I was trying to draw a drill bit by sweeping a rectangle along a line and rotating it on the way using trajpar*360. But what I get is no rotation about the line and I just end up with a simple sweep not a VSS.

Can you use the helical sweep function to get the same result?

@Usama , can you upload your part?

Did you specify your rotation by setting the value for angle of the base in the rectangle to be driven by the equation? (sdXX=trajpar*360*YY) where XX is the dimension for angle = will create rotation, and YY is the number of rotations.

PS. your sweep is defined to be variable , right? .ds

variable setting is you problem

In Creo the programmers switched the variable vs non variable setting. Look for that icon and choose variable and it will work!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDJAUt864fo < youtube video made early this year showing trajpar with out a graph but it shows where the button is that makes the sweep variable. Look at about 1:58 or so....
