TR-55 Instructions

Does anyone know the procedure or where to find it, the step by step instructions for designing runoff calcs and generating a report using TR-55. I have done these by hand but can't figure the program out. I have tried both the DOS and windows version. All the tables and screens have been set up, but it as far as I can manage.

TR-55 stands for Technical Realease No. 55, "Urban Hydrology for Small Watersheds", which is the instruction manual for the program.

You have to obtain this from the NRCS.

First, I recommend you use the Win TR55 version. You can download the users manual, the program, and most importantly for you, a powerpoint tutorial at the following web site.

Also, if you have questions, check the phone book under federal government and find the USDA, NRCS office in your area. They can put you in contact with an NRCS engineer to answer questions.
