I wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of information relating to the effects of torsion capability when steel work is subjected to low temperature.
I have a length of pipe that has a section frozen using liquid nitrogen (approx. temp -120C) and there will be torsion applied to the end of the pipe section. I am concerned that the low temperature section will affect the torsion capacity of the pipe section.
Also how will this affect the brittleness of the low temp section ?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Chris
