Hi,
I am new to this Forum. I have a problem which I hope you experts can help me with.
Problem descripton (Abaqus): I have a front Bumper beam which is fixed at one end in all DOF. The other end is given a Torsion (Moment) loading about the axis of rotation along the bumper beam. I have to find the torsion in the middle of the bumper beam.
What I have done: I have fixed one end with a Rigid (Kinematic Coupling) spider. This ref node has been fixed (BC) in all DOF. The other end I have also used a Kinematic Coupling spider with only 1 (BC) DOF free ( axis of rotation). The simulation is compete but how do I get the torsion in the middle of the bumper beam?
My idea: I thought I'd make another spider (Kinematic Coupling) in the middle section of the bumper beam and try and get the node ouput for that ref node using RM (as variable). But it gives zero as output. Am I doing something wrong or I am using the wrong variable ?
Can someone help me ?
Thanks in advance.
