I know topology optimisation results are usually used at just the preliminary design stage, but if I wanted to export the top opt as geometry what would be the best way to do this?
Currently, i have a method in Patran 2007r2 as follows but it is far from ideal as many surfaces are created which are difficult to deal with in CAD:
1) Skin the solid elements
2) Create surfaces on shell elements
3) Export as IGES.
Ideally I would like a solid geometry to be exported... any ideas? Thanks.
