How is tool management solved in your factory.
We had a need for every tool to have it
 
In Short, the system is based on excel.
The cutting data, solid model, tool position number. is all
generated with one push of a button.
Quite a lot of math is put in to the cutting data
calculation. The system automatically considers the tool
length and workpiece material when Ap and Ae is calculated.
ie. reducing the tool load on tool laving a large l/d ratio

The system is not limited to Pro/engineer. it can be
customized to generate tool files for any CAM system able
to import tools from external files.
