Hi BD9591,
Most of Tom Swift's papers are available as part of conference proceedings.
Two books that contain articles/papers by Swift are:
(1) Fatigue of Aircraft Materials (Editors A. Beukers, Th. de Jong, J. Sinke, A. Vlot and L.B. Vogelesang) published by Delft University Press, 1992. There is a chapter by Swift titled "Damage Tolerance Capability".
(2) ASTM STP 486 Damage Tolerance in Aircraft Structures.
In this book Swift has an article titled "Development of Fail Safe Design Features of the DC-10"
(ASTM is the American Society for Testing and Materials)
More references are in above publications.
