Does anyone have any information on the capacity of toggle bolts (i.e. the ones with spring loaded wings at the end)?

Check w/ the mfg.. But I think the dry wall will pull out before they fail. If memory serves - they are rated in the 50-75 lb range for 1/2'' drywall.

Thanks mike,

I am using it to tie back a sign to a stone facade, it will be much stronger than dry-wall.

I would'nt use those for anything other than trival home use attachments.
Over time the small pivots will rust off and they will pull right out. You need to use some sort of a structural anchor that will fix to the actual building structure.

Thanks Screwman,

I didnt want to use them, and this is exactly the type of reason that I wanted.

I didnt think of that but it makes sense about the pivots.
