I am a rather new user of Abaqus so I would very much appreciate the assistance of more experienced users.
I have a 3D volume consisting of two different materials.

a) If I make two parts, then I have to somehow tie them (completely). How can I do that?

b) If I make one part with two partitions, then can I assign different sections to each partition? And if yes, how can I cut a cube into two partitions?

Many thanks

You can assign different sections to one part if that is what you are asking. You can also make two parts, make contact between them and tie them together by using interactions and constraints.
