Couldn't Timken help you? Or are they down
for the holiday.

Try searching on tapered roller bearings
for other suppliers.

Is it a single row or two row roller bearing?

Many thanks for the replies.

I have tried timken and minimum delivery time is something like 20 weeks

I am going through a bearing 'broker' if I can call the company that and they are searching but the direct supplier databases are coming up empty.

My best hope is somebody out there bought one and never used it.

Most bearing suppliers have a record of sales
to different vendors. Usually vendors will
buy a backup bearing to keep in stock.
Maybe Timken can tell you who else has bought
these bearings from them unless they think that
is priority information.

Try to find someone that has a bearing interchange guide. There my be an equivalent bearing, like FAG. Usually the bigger bearing supply houses have such a database. A good bearing supplier should be able to find the bearing as Timken didn't just make one.

Here are two different approaches to interchange data.

dimjim's idea of finding a customer from a vendor is a very good approach. There is also a service that has information on spare parts on the shelf at numerous companies.

If you haven't found one yet, I have some sources for this item tha can produce in 60 days, from China
60 days is better than 20 weeks

Try KOYO,
Can the bearing be repaired or
reconditioned?

I have heard about the China option.

I looked into the posiblity of reconditioning but have been told that due to the 'thinness' of the bearing it is difficult.

I'll give the two other websites a look.

I rather suspect its all a little too late.

May I offer my gratitude for al the advice and wish yo all a merry xmas
