working on shoring design. shoring drawings have a note stating "MIN 85% F.O.H.C." anyone know what F.O.H.C. means?
 
I think it means "Free of Heart Center" lumber - try googling it to see more.
 
thanks, JAE. I wondered if it was a reference to heart wood. couldn't find it in any of my texts. didn't think about using google.
