I want to analysis and design tie column. Height is 20.5 feet. The wind pressure is 80 psf. The column is not braced. The lateral wind load can be mitigate by designing a a column uni-axial bending + axial load. Is this true?
Column as CMU walls on two opposite sides and is open to other two sides. In that case column will be braced in one axis and un-braced along other?
