I have a thrust washer which is between a housing and a shaft, with a pilot pin locating in the center. The shaft is 1.452" in diameter, and is turning between 100-200rpm. There is roughly a 5250# axial load pushing against the housing into the thrust washer. We keep the the thrust washers approximately .065" thick.

Right now we allow for .003 clearance between the housing, thrust washer, and shaft end. For using a molydisulphide grease is this too much clearance? What other information do you need me to provide? Any good resources available on this?

Thank you.
