thread238-414004
Hello everyone,
i refer to my last December 2016 thread regarding two identical transformers 420MVA repair due to the same defect, finally one of them was repaired by replacing high voltage exit leads which were found burnt. the transformer is back in operation after passing LV tests.
the second transformer repair completed after replacing the high voltage exit leads and now connected to LFH machine for drying. the repair contract include onsite high voltage test by the repair company because this transformer will be kept as spare for four in service transformers.
i need your advice, we dont have the expertise in our organization to judge and interpret the test results, what is the best practice in this case, is it to let the repair company to do the test and provide the results should we hire third party to witness the high voltage test.
Thank you
