Thread Standards

Hi,
I'm going crazy trying to find the dimensions for thread forms called T-38, T-45 & T-51. They are specified on rock drill equipment. I'm trying to design some addition fittings but can't find this info to supply a CNC programmer.
Can anyone out there help?!!

Is the T trapezoidal? Should they be TR? Essentially metric Acme but with slight difference on flank angle?

Perhaps contact an Atlas Copco distributor or Atlas Copco and ask for the thread details.
The threads are on sectional drill rod. See the attached catalog, bench and drifter drilling, for applications.
It has been a long time since I was associated with rock drilling manufacturers. If I come with another source, I will post it.

You might give Crowder Supply a call to see if they will give you the general standard for this thread form.

Also they may be in FED-STD-H28.

There are dimensions for all 3 threads you mention.

Bruner & Lay, a drill steel manufacturer, may help locate dimensions. The threads are trapezoidal, an alternate to rope threads on drill steel.

I can't really go to a manufacturer for the info. I work for a manufacturer, so I doubt other will share info with their competition. Just wondering where to find the info.
This is not a Tr (trapezoidal) thread. It is similar to a rope thread and has a large pitch, the T-45 pitch is .735" and the T-51 is .790".

I would say it is trapezoidal thread. That's what the "T" designation means. The number is the thread OD in mm.

I worked for a manufacturer and contacted other manufacturers for industry reference material. Especially if I was designing something that would connect to their product. These threads are not proprietary.
