I am a designer who wants to improve the efficacy of my design team.
We build customer machinery assembly with bolt and screw.
We want to select to right length of bolts and screw on the assembly.
So we used the remove thread option when we design the
part. This way we are sure that the selected screw will have fit
perfectly. When the drawing is make the thread is shown in plain line and not
dashed line like the thread created with the cosmetic thread option. That kind of drawing has made a few
production errors.
