Thesis advice

I am doing a thesis on trying to harvest energy from a grey water system. the idea in mind is to have for example a turbine at the bottom of a guttering systerm. to harvest the energy. I have wrote topics such as different types of turbines to possibly use, water calculations on how much water I expect there will be. can someone give me some advice on other topics to write about ?

also im meant to design a system where I would have to design turbine to use and build a test rig to see if it could harvest the energy could anyone give some advice on this please
