Does anyone know when the concept and/or term: thermal resistance (Dt/Q; units of C/W) - first appeared in the literature? While I realize it's just a convenient restatement of Fourier's heat conduction equation and Newton's Law of Cooling (in the form of an analogy to Ohn's Law), I suspect it was introduced later.

A citation would be much appreciated.
