Hi!

I'm looking for someone who has experience in thermal-electric simulations. My problem is to calculate temperature distribution in two connected cylinders which are made of different types of materials. I’d like to add contact resistance property between their connected surfaces. Could you be so kind and help me?

Hi Noirom
I can explain you the general procedure that I use normally for heat transfer analysis, i.e. not from thermal-electric point of view.
Adding contact resistance you need to go into interaction module and select 'surface to surface contact(standard)'. you need to select master and slave surfaces and then you need to mention interaction property. In interation property, open the drop down menu for thermals and select conductance. This is where you can give thermal contact resistances in Abaqus.
hope this helps

Regards
