Does anyone have links or references for estimating temperature of a part exposed short term (eg: 1-2 seconds) to heat from solid rocket exhaust? I understand this will vary with location and orientation to the exhaust, but I am looking for a conservative temperature to use in comparison between different thermal barrier coatings.

Also any links to manufacturers for thermal barrier coatings would be appreciated. Note maximum coating thickness of .125 inch.
