Hello,
I'm designing a fixed roof storage tank with steel plates of ASTM A283-C, the owner however asked for a steel plates of Q275.
There are 4 grades of Q275, which one is the most suitable for tanks?

Thanks

Dear Omer Mohd,

If you are using Chinese grade steel, then why not go for the cheapest grade?

Dear Dhurjati Sen,
Thanks for your reply, of course cost is the one of the most important factors in the design process. But that what was my question about.
after all, i think I'm going with grade C. it has the highest quality among the killed grades

Dear Omer Mohd,

That's ok. Do ensure that lamination is not present. Specify UT in the P.O. itself.

Regards.
