I have developed a flyable and controllable model of a flying rotor. I am exploring the possibilities of the airfoil for one of these models (presently built out of wood 1.5" X 24" X .250) being produced in a hollowed out configuration that would be extremely light and yet quite strong. Can anyone shed information on this subject? Composite would be great but even a simple plastic might work?????

Hi jplot

maybe a carbon fiber "pultrusion" would be the idea for this. Many companies make them some do custom shapes. Do a search on the word in Google.
