I have been setting up the Custom Property Tabs for my department. As I get feedback from everyone, I have made modifications to them. One of the things that changed was setting up all the properties to be configuration specific. Easy to change that with the property tab builder. Problem is that when you open the parts up, the custom specific properties aren’t added. If you reselect the same template under template options, everything updates fine.
Is there a way to access the property tab template file that is loaded using API? I would like to reload it automatically with a macro. I didn’t see anything in the API help or anywhere online.
Thanks.

Take a look at my macro here. Might give you some ideas. Configurations show up in the list box to the side (the code only allows 01 thru 99 configuration names right now, but that's easily removed).

The macro adds all wanted properties to configs that are selected in the list box. It also deletes any not in the list.

James,
Thanks for the example. By seeing how you do it, hopefully I can get where I need to be.

If you're "starting from scratch" and can control properties from the get go you don't need all the comparisons to get it done. I had to control really bad historical parts so I needed something that isn't case sensitive.
