Just wanted to say thanks for the invite. And, as the maintainer or vulcanhammer.net, I'm always open to posting documents (so long as the copyright isn't a problem.)

I managed to come into possession of part of the engineering library of Harry Lindahl, who worked for US Steel for so many years. I agree with sentiments expressed about Tschbotarioff. I also like Clarence Dunham's book on foundations.

Also: I've spent some time in eng-tips fielding questions about Pile Buck. One of the two books I edited for them that they did not put into print was the pile driving book, which is downloadable from vulcanhammer.net.

vulcanhammer - we are glad to have you on board. Please see our thread about the ETJPE that we in process of putting together - I've started work on a paper for it. You mentioned Dunham's book - I've seen it, sadly guys younger than I did housecleaning at office when I was gone and it went - too old. I like Chellis' book - had a nice tip on putting a wedge in flange of H-pile when driving into sand - to get set-up. One thing I did save from an office clean was the original geotechnical drawings of quite many of Ontario's and Canada's major projects of the 1960s. Stratigraphic sections, plans, etc. Great stuff.
Ciao.

vulcanhammer - Welcome. When the time comes, perhaps you can publish the ETJPE. I have visited your website - your skills preparing web pages far exceed mine.
