I am looking for a testing standard that would be applicable for a material with a reported modulus of 3MPa. I am looking at obtaining stress strain curves for tension, compression, and shear. Some of these materials also need to be in a hydrated bath because they are hydrophilic. This will be utilized in a FEA with strains over 100%. Thank you for your help.

Your sample is elastomeric. Here are some standards that may be applicable.

ASTM D 412 Standard Test Methods for Vulcanized Rubber and Thermoplastic Elastomers-Tension
ASTM D 575 Standard Test Methods for Rubber Properties in Compression
ASTM D 945 Standard Test Methods for Rubber Properties in Compression or Shear (Mechanical Oscillograph)

available from ASTM International at:

ISO 37 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic -- Determination of tensile stress-strain properties
ISO 7743 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic -- Determination of compression stress-strain properties

available from the International Organization for Standardization at:
