We have chromium stripped from some components for rework. Is there a test to determine if all the chromium has been removed?

TIA

Did I say something wrong? This is not my field so maybe there is no test. Anybody ??? hello ??? am I alone in here ??? [ponder]

What is the substrate?

52100 (bearing steel) HRc 58-62

A copper sulfate solution is commonly used to show presence or absence of plating after a stripping operation on ferrous substrates. In the absence of plating, the copper sulfate will "plate out" copper on the substrate. The copper can then be removed after the test with house hold ammonia
