Hello
I am trying to understand if a reciprocating compressor in hydrogen service should trip when the ESD on the tempered water circuit trips the tempered water pumps. I would reason that the compressor should trip immediately as the tempered water system is tripped. The EPC argues that then compressor would trip on other variables such as high bearing temps and other trips.
I think it is a matter of debate if when the tempered water system is shut down if the compressor should trip immediately or if a few minutes can pass without the tempered cooling water before the machine trips.
Thoughts would be appreciated
